     The 433Mhz 5dBi Antenna is a flexible FPC (printed circuit) adhesive internal antenna working in the 433MHz - 470MHz band. An 11cm long 1.13mm coaxial cable is attached to the thin black antenna surface of 27mm x 18mm; at the end of the cable there is a gold coloured IPEX (U.FL compatible) connector. The connector plugs directly into the antenna socket of 433MHz modules with an IPEX socket such as Ra-02 SX1278 LoRa and HC-12.

     Thanks to the adhesive tape on its back, the antenna is stuck to the inner surface of the device enclosure; no rod antenna sticking out of the enclosure is needed, and the product looks closed and clean. The antenna has 50ohm impedance, linear polarization and omnidirectional radiation, and its VSWR is lower than 2.0. With a weight of about 1gr it causes no space or weight problem in small sensor boxes, meter and alarm devices.

Usage information:

• Clean and dry the enclosure surface where the antenna will be stuck, remove the protective paper on the back and stick the antenna to the inner wall of the enclosure by pressing it.
• Place the antenna on the plastic wall of the enclosure, as far as possible from metal surfaces, the battery and the copper (GND) area of the circuit board; the antenna does not work inside a metal enclosure.
• Align the IPEX connector perpendicular to the antenna socket of the module and press until it seats with a "click". When removing, do not pull the cable; lift the connector perpendicularly with a thin tool.
• Do not bend the cable at a sharp angle or pinch it; collect the extra cable in a wide loop.

Things to consider:

•  This antenna has an IPEX (U.FL) connector. It does not plug into modules with an SMA socket; for modules with an SMA socket use a 433MHz antenna with an SMA male connector.
•  The 5dBi gain is a seller value. In small FPC antennas the real gain and range change with placement, enclosure and nearby metal parts; prefer an external antenna for applications needing long range.
•  Do not fold the antenna or bend it at a sharp angle; if the antenna surface creases its tuning is lost and permanent damage may occur.
•  The IPEX connector is small and delicate; frequent plugging and unplugging loosens the socket. Do not operate a transmitter module in transmit mode without the antenna connected.
