     The 7x9cm 26X31 Proto Pcb is a double sided prototype pcb to be used for testing all kinds of test circuits. On the 7cm x 9cm FR4 board there are a total of 806 dip pads in 26 columns and 31 rows; the distance between any 2 pins is 2.54mm. The holes are plated and the pads on both sides are connected to each other; thanks to this, parts can be soldered from both sides and connection paths can be routed on both sides.

     It is a very high quality 2 sided prototyping pcb. Do not confuse it with standard perforated perfboards. Its pads are very strong and can withstand much higher temperatures than low quality perfboards. The pads are tinned; thanks to the plating, its oxidation and darkening performance is very good and it can be used for a long time. The board has SMD pads on its 2 short edges and mounting holes in 4 corners; the board can be screwed into an enclosure.

     Double sided, plated through holes: Thanks to the through hole plating, it offers the possibility of double sided work; solder fills the hole and connection is made from both sides.

     Standard 2.54mm pitch: DIP ICs, pin headers, terminal blocks, TO-92 and TO-220 packaged parts and 2.54mm pitch modules fit directly.

     FR4 glass fiber, 1.6mm: First class quality FR4 material is stronger than paper perfboard.

     Numbered rows and columns: Rows and columns are numbered with letters; when placing parts from the schematic onto the board, the position is found easily.

Usage information:

• First place the parts on the board according to the schematic; note the positions using the row and column letters. Insert the parts from one side and solder them from the other side, route the connections from pad to pad with thin solid wire or leftover component legs.
• Solder each pad for a short time; the plated hole draws the solder inside and both sides are connected together.
• Screw the board into an enclosure or body through the mounting holes in the 4 corners with spacers; the solder joints on the bottom side must not touch a metal surface.

Things to consider:

•  This board is a double sided plated through hole board; the holes are not connected to each other, each pad is single. Connections are made with wire or solder bridges; it is not a strip board.
•  The hole diameter is about 0.9mm; parts with thick legs (large diodes, power terminal blocks, some DC sockets) may not fit into the hole, if the hole is enlarged the plating comes off.
•  In circuits running on mains voltage (230V), the insulation distance between adjacent pads is insufficient; for a high voltage line leave pads empty to open a gap.
