     A buzzer is a component that can produce sound with its electronic transducer structure. It is used for the purpose of producing sound in computers, toys, timers, phones and many other devices that can be counted. It can operate with 3.3V and 5V supply. It can easily be used with Arduino and similar microcontroller boards. It can be used to produce sound in alarms, notifications, button feedback, timers, toy circuits, door bells, warning systems and basic electronics projects.

     A passive buzzer, by its nature, does not have an internal oscillator. In order for it to produce sound, a PWM or frequency controlled square wave signal must be supplied from the microcontroller. Thanks to this feature, different tones, beep sounds and simple melodies can be produced by using different frequencies.

     This product is not suitable for applications where automatic sound at a fixed tone is expected with only digital HIGH/LOW. If a fixed sound warning with only on/off logic is desired, an active buzzer module should be preferred.
