     The Capacitive Soil Moisture Module is a sensor board used for plant growing and soil moisture monitoring operations. This smart device measures soil moisture precisely and provides you with valuable information about optimizing plant health and irrigating efficiently. It automatically prevents the plant from rotting due to overwatering or dying from lack of water. Monitoring soil moisture regularly helps you make your plants healthier and more productive. You get rid of underwatering or overwatering problems.

     Thanks to capacitive sensor technology, it measures soil moisture accurately and precisely. It can measure more precisely and faster than resistance type sensors. It works with DC 3.3V / 5V supply voltage. It is easy to use with Arduino, raspverry pi etc. boards. The module provides an analog output so that you can easily read the soil moisture level. The sensor pin can be monitored through the analog input pin of the relevant mcu.

     There is a 20cm connection cable. The cable end is in the form of a 3 pin female header. With this structure, it is very easy to connect to circuits. There are supply pins and 1 analog sensor output pin.

     The capacitive soil moisture module is designed to be resistant to external factors. The sensor outer surface has a corrosion preventing coating. It is suitable for outdoor use and is long lasting. The electronic circuit part must not come into contact with water and soil. The module installs quickly and easily. It does not require any difficult technical skill. Place it in the soil quickly and you can start reading the data.

     The parts of the product are shown in the figure below. The part between the 2 green lines is the part of the product that can be buried in the soil. From the red line onwards, the probability of the product contacting the soil and therefore the liquid increases. You can cover the upper part of the circuit with a protection similar to heat shrink tubing so that it does not take water. And you must be careful that this part does not go into the soil.
