830 Pin Large Size Breadboard MB102
Bread Board Protoboard Experiment School Laboratory Sensor IC DIP Led Logic Gate Timer Opamp Oscillator
MB102 (MB-102) is a large size solderless breadboard with a total of 830 holes. Leaded electronic components such as resistors, transistors, diodes, leds, capacitors and DIP ICs are plugged into the holes; the spring contacts inside the holes connect the components without a soldering iron. The leads are not damaged when components are plugged in and removed, so they can be reused; a circuit is built, tested, changed and taken apart.
The centre section has 2 x 63 rows; each row has 5 connected holes (630 in total). The two long edges carry 4 power rails marked with red (+) and blue (-) lines (200 holes in total). The holes have 2.54mm pitch; the centre channel separates the two rows of pins of DIP ICs. Rows are marked with letters (A-J) and numbers, so the wiring plan is easy to follow.
The body is ABS plastic and the contacts inside the holes are nickel plated phosphor bronze. It is used with leads and wires of 0.4mm - 0.7mm diameter; several breadboards can be joined side by side with the interlocking slots on the edges to enlarge the work area. Suitable for school and laboratory experiments, sensor tests and microcontroller prototypes.
Key features:
830 holes, large work area: 630 hole centre section and 4 power rails with 200 holes; several ICs and many components fit on one board.
Solderless and reusable: Components are plugged in and removed; spring contacts designed for more than 5000 insertions per hole hold the component firmly.
2.54mm standard pitch: DIP ICs, pin headers and modules plug in directly on both sides of the centre channel.
Marked power rails: Rails with red (+) and blue (-) lines keep power and ground distribution tidy; lettered and numbered rows make the wiring plan easy to follow.
Interlocking body: Several breadboards can be joined side by side with the slots on the edges for a larger work area.

Usage information:
- The 5 holes in the same row (A-E or F-J) are connected; plug leads that must be connected into the same row and leads that must stay separate into different rows.
- Place a DIP IC across the centre channel so that its two rows of pins sit on both sides of the channel; keep the pins straight and press gently.
- Connect the + terminal of the supply to the red line rail and the - terminal to the blue line rail; distribute power to the components from these rails with jumper wires.
Areas of use:
- School and university laboratory experiments
- Electronics education and STEM sets
- Microcontroller and development board prototypes
- Sensor and module tests
- Bench testing of robotics circuits
- Logic gate, counter and shift register circuits
- 555 timer and oscillator circuits
- Opamp amplifier and filter circuits
- Led driving and indicator circuits
- Verifying a circuit before making a printed circuit board
Precautions:
- The red and blue lines on the power rails are broken in the middle of the board. Before using a rail end to end, check continuity between the two halves with a multimeter; if they are not connected, join the two halves in the middle with a jumper wire.
- For low voltage DC circuits only; do not use with mains voltage (220V).
- Do not force leads thicker than 0.7mm; the contact spring widens and that hole no longer grips thin leads.
- Do not power high current loads such as motors through the breadboard; the contacts can heat up.
- Because of stray capacitance between contacts and long connections, high frequency (RF) and very sensitive analog circuits may not work properly on a breadboard; test these circuits on a printed circuit board.
