This product is designed only for narrow type SMD ICs with a 150mil body width.

     It is a spring loaded adapter socket used to convert SO16, SOIC16 and SOP16 SMD ICs with a 150mil body width to the DIP16 format. It is used in fast test, software loading, fault detection and prototyping processes without requiring soldering.

     Thanks to its ZIF like spring loaded mechanism, you can place the IC into the socket and fix it easily, and remove it again and again without damaging it. It is especially suitable for use with programmer devices and development boards.
