     PT100 is preferred at high temperature values and in cases where precise measurement values are desired. It has a 2-wire platinum thermal resistance structure. At 0 degrees temperature its resistance is 100ohm. As the temperature increases, the resistance value increases. It is not fully linear, but the exact value can be determined from a table.

     It is very widely used in industrial applications. Measurement is made by the change of the resistance value depending on the temperature. Pt100 is generally called a temperature sensor. It can measure in environments such as air and liquid. It has a ceramic inner protector and a steel outer protector.
