PICKIT 2 PICKIT 3 Zif Socket Adapter

     Pic programmers generally have only an ICSP output socket. For the programming operation, real circuits must be built on a breadboard or on various pcbs. It is not always easy to set up this circuit and many errors can occur while making the cable connections. In order to make this operation easy, this circuit has been developed using a zif socket. It has a structure that can be set with jumpers according to different pin counts.

     It is very easy to use. A 5 pin ICSP connection is established with a cable between the programmer and the zif circuit. There are 3 jumper settings on the zif socket circuit. Under the socket it is written in which position the 3 jumpers must be according to pic pin counts such as 40 pin, 28 pin, 18 pin. For example, for 40 pin it is inserted so that number 1 is on the latch side. It must be in the state J1=A , J2=2-3, J3=2-3.

    How the number 1 pins of the pics are to be inserted is also shown with figures. The number 1 pins of all pics except PIC10FX are on the latch side.
