     The 16mm Round 2 Pin Switch Black is a small two-position (On / Off) power switch with a 16mm round front face. With its single contact (SPST) design it opens and closes a single line; it switches 6A at 125V AC and 3A at 250V AC. It stays in the position it is pressed to: when the "I" side is pressed the circuit closes and power flows to the device, when the "O" side is pressed the circuit opens and power is cut.

     The body is black plastic; thanks to the spring clips on both sides it is pressed into the panel hole without screws or nuts. Wires are soldered to the 2 flat terminals with holes at the bottom. It is unlit and needs no neutral or extra connection. With a 16mm front face, about 22mm height and 2gr weight it fits small device boxes, control panels and tight spaces.

Usage information:

• Drill a round hole of about 14mm - 15mm in the panel; drill it smaller first and enlarge it to fit the switch body. Press the switch in from the front until the clips seat.
• Connect the switch in series on only one wire of the line: the supply wire is soldered to one terminal and the wire to the device to the other. In mains devices the live (phase) wire is routed through the switch.
• After soldering insulate the terminals with sleeving or heat shrink tubing.

Precautions:

•  Do not exceed the rating of the switch: at most 3A (about 690W) on 250V AC mains and at most 6A at 125V AC. Do not use it with high power loads such as heaters, kettles or large motor devices.
•  When working with mains voltage make the connection with the power off and do not leave the solder terminals exposed.
•  The switch is unlit; whether it is on or off can only be seen from the I / O position.
•  If the panel hole is drilled too large the clips do not hold and the switch comes out; enlarge the hole gradually.
•  Do not heat the terminals for a long time; excessive soldering heat can soften the plastic body and damage the contact.
