4S 20A Lithium Battery BMS Protection Board

It is suitable for 4 pieces of series 18650 batteries. It does not charge the battery. It is for battery protection. It undertakes the balancing task.

     With this module you can charge high capacity 4S lithium batteries quickly, thanks to the voltage protections on it, it protects your batteries from being charged at high voltages and also prevents the batteries from being damaged by preventing current from being drawn from your batteries that are about to run out.

     Batteries must certainly be charged at limited currents. Charging batteries without current control causes the life of the batteries to decrease. Similarly, drawing high current rapidly from the batteries also damages the batteries. Although bms products seem to charge the batteries, they do not perform current control. It is appropriate to use them only for the purpose of protecting the batteries. You need to charge your batteries with a current controlled source together with your bms boards. The battery charging current should be at levels such as 1/10  2/10 of the battery capacity. Do not forget that charging or discharging at very high current will reduce the battery life while gaining time/power.

Note:

• You have to make the cable connection correctly. Connection in the wrong order damages the product.
• The large resistors next to the B- pad can heat up during charging. This is normal. If they heat up when not charging, you may have made a wrong connection.
• For some users with insufficient electronics background; do not use good and bad batteries together. When you use a bad battery ( worn out, performance decreased) the total performance of the system drops to the level of the bad battery.
• In successful drill (Drill derivative) applications; 3 pieces of 15C-20C power  batteries or 6 pieces of 10C-15C batteries should be used. C:It is a standard that classifies the batteries. Recommended battery models:VTC4, VTC4A, VTC5A, VTC6. The cable thickness must be higher than 4mm2. Do not use nickel plate.
