     This product is a ready made wireless charging transmitter board for devices that support the Qi standard and can be charged wirelessly, such as phones and earbuds cases (board code 5125-FA). It consists of a board of approx. 33mm x 44mm and a ferrite backed transmitter coil of approx. 49mm diameter soldered to it. The board is powered from the Type C socket; it works with 5V and delivers max. 15W with a 9V fast charge (QC) adapter. There are red power and blue charging indicator leds on it.

     The coil is thin; it can be placed under or inside non-metallic materials such as furniture, glass, plexiglass and wood. It charges through a partition up to approx. 5mm thick, and from up to 10mm distance in open air. There are mounting holes on the board and in the center of the coil; it can be fixed under a desk, in a lamp body or inside your own charging stand with screws or adhesive.

     It is plug and play and needs no software or setting: connect it to the adapter with a Type C cable, and charging starts when the phone is placed on the coil. This module is only a transmitter; the device to be charged must support Qi wireless charging.

Usage information:

• Connect the board to the adapter with a good quality, data capable Type C cable. When the red led lights, power is present. For 15W use a 9V capable fast charge (QC) adapter; an adapter giving at least 2A is recommended.
• Place the coil under the non-metallic surface with the ferrite base at the bottom (the wound side facing the phone); the material in between should not exceed approx. 5mm. The thinner the partition, the more stable the charging; 3mm or less is recommended for the best result.
• Align the charging coil of the phone with the center of the transmitter coil; when the blue led lights, charging has started. If charging does not start, slide the phone slightly to correct the alignment.

Precautions:

•  A 9V capable fast charge (QC) adapter is required for 15W output. With a 5V adapter the power drops to approx. 5W and charging slows down.
•  Do not place metal objects (keys, coins, metal plates) between the coil and the phone or on the coil; metal heats up. If mounted under a metal surface, charging does not work.
•  The power taken by the phone also depends on the phone. iPhones take max. 7.5W with standard Qi; a thick case or a case with metal parts slows down or stops charging.
•  The coil wires are thin and short (approx. 4cm); do not pull the coil during mounting and do not strain the wires at the solder points of the board.
•  This module is only a transmitter; to charge a device without Qi support a separate wireless charging receiver module is needed.
