This small sized infrared obstacle detection sensor is suitable for use in many projects. You can add it to your project right away by making the connections quickly and easily. It can be used with Arduino raspberry and other mcu kits. The rays sent from the ir transmitter led hit the obstacle and are detected by the receiver led. Detection of the distance is provided with a comparator timer circuit. Sensitivity adjustment can be made with the 2 potentiometers on the module. One of them is for the frequency of the ir transmitter led and the other is for the duty cycle adjustment.
It can detect distance between 2-40cm. It can operate with a supply between DC 3V / 5V. It gives logic 0 output when an obstacle is detected, and logic 1 when there is no obstacle.
