     The 18650 battery holder 1 slot is a black plastic single battery holder for one 3.7V 18650 lithium ion (Li-ion) battery. The metal contacts and the spring at both ends hold the battery firmly; thanks to the attached red (+) and black (-) wires, the connection to the circuit is made without soldering to the battery. With its open top design the battery is easily inserted and removed.

     Since it is a single holder, the output voltage is the voltage of one battery: nominal 3.7V, 4.2V with a fully charged battery. There is a spring metal contact on the negative side and a metal contact plate on the positive side. The 13cm - 15cm wires connect directly to a charging module, a protection board or a boost (step-up) module; the battery can be charged without taking it out of the holder. The ABS body is fixed inside the device with a screw through the hole in the base or with double sided tape.

     With its 75mm x 21mm x 20mm size and about 10gr weight, it fits into small boxes. Several holders can be connected in series or parallel with their wires to get higher voltage or capacity. The holder is delivered without battery.

Usage information:

•  Insert the battery with its positive (+) end on the flat metal plate and its negative (-) end on the spring.
•  Connect the red wire to the positive (+) and the black wire to the negative (-) input of the circuit; check the polarity with a multimeter before connecting.
•  To charge the battery in the holder, connect the wires to a lithium charging module (e.g. TP4056); with an unprotected battery use the TP4056 version with protection circuit (DW01) or a separate BMS board.

Precautions:

•  The holder is delivered without battery; the 18650 battery is not included in the package.
•  It is only for 18650 lithium ion batteries; long protected 18650 batteries (about 68mm - 70mm) may not fit in the holder.
•  A lithium battery gets very hot in a short circuit and can be dangerous; do not let the wire ends touch each other, use an unprotected battery with a BMS protection board.
•  Do not insert the battery reversed; reverse polarity damages the connected circuit.
