In addition, the device boosts the 3.7V voltage it takes from the battery to 5V and enables external devices to use it from the Usb A socket ( charging etc. operations ). It has many protection features such as short circuit protection, high voltage protection. It can supply 1A current from the output. It can charge the battery with 1A. In this state you can use it as a powerbank circuit.
