     Battery Spacer x 6 Adet is a set of interlocking single cell battery holders (spacers) that keep the cells in proper order when building a battery pack from 18650 lithium ion (Li-ion) cells. Each piece is a square frame that surrounds a single 18650 cell; 2 pieces are used for one cell, one holder on each end of the cell. With the 6 holders in the package, 3 cells are placed.

     The interlocking tabs and slots on the edges of the holders slide into the neighbouring holder. In this way the cells are grouped in a straight line, L, square, rectangle or a shape that suits you, and stay fixed in series or parallel packs. An equal gap remains between the cells, the cells do not rub against each other and the gap helps the heat to dissipate.

     The holders are made of black ABS plastic and have no metal contacts; they are only mechanical holders. The cells are connected to each other with nickel strip and spot welding. It is used in the battery packs of devices such as powerbanks, electric bicycles and scooters, flashlights and speakers. The holders are delivered without batteries.

Usage information:

• Fit one holder on each end of every cell. The cell sits firmly in the inner ring of the holder; the cell terminals stay exposed for nickel strip welding.
• Join the holders to be placed side by side by sliding the tabs on their edges into the slot of the neighbouring holder. In a series pack arrange the cells with the + and - ends alternating, in a parallel pack with all facing the same direction.
• After placing the cells and assembling the pack, connect the terminals with nickel strip and spot welding; connect the pack to a BMS protection board.

Precautions:

•  This product is not a wired battery holder; it has no contacts and no wires. The electrical connection of the cells is made separately with nickel strip.
•  It fits only 18650 size cells; thicker cells such as 21700 and 26650 do not fit into the holder.
•  Do not solder directly on the cells with a soldering iron for a long time; heat damages the cell. Prefer spot welding for the connection.
•  Do not charge or discharge lithium ion packs without a BMS protection board; overcharge and short circuit are dangerous.
•  Do not mix cells with different capacity, brand or state of charge in the same pack.
