     The 125x80x32mm Plastic Project Box is a two-piece circuit box made of matte black ABS plastic that closes with screws. Its outer size is 125mm x 80mm x 32mm and its inner size is about 120mm x 75mm. Medium size circuits such as power supply boards, amplifier boards, card reader and door entry circuits, relay and timer boards fit in this inner space. The wall thickness is better than cheap boxes; the body is solid and durable.

     The box consists of two plastic shells; the shells are joined with screws through the screw bosses at the corners. Inside the top shell there are 6 mounting points where a board (PCB) can be fixed with screws. The bottom shell has a label recess; a device name or wiring note can be stuck there. The box protects circuits from dust and moisture and can protect against some liquid contact; however it is not fully waterproof.

     The ABS body can be drilled and cut; holes are opened for a switch, LED, display, connector or cable entry. The box has no ready cable entry slot and no mounting ears. This box is larger than the 65 x 38 x 22mm box with ears and the 100 x 60 x 25mm snap-fit box on robiz.net and, unlike them, its shells are joined with screws.

     6 board mounting points: A board is fixed with screws to the 6 mounting points inside the top shell; it does not slide inside the box.

     Large inner space: The inner size is about 120mm x 75mm. Medium size power supply, amplifier and control boards fit inside.

     Label recess: A device name, warning or wiring label can be stuck into the label recess on the bottom shell.

     Thick ABS body: The wall thickness is better than cheap boxes. Matte black ABS is easy to drill and provides electrical insulation.

Usage information:

• Before placing the board, measure that it fits the inner space (about 120mm x 75mm) and the inner height when the lid is closed; position the board so its holes line up with the 6 mounting points.
• Drill holes for switches, LEDs, display and cables before placing the board; choose hole positions away from the shell joint line and the screw bosses.
• Fix the board and the shells with screws of suitable length; do not overtighten, the plastic screw boss thread can be damaged.

Precautions:

•  Not fully waterproof. Liquid may enter through drilled holes and screw sections; do not use outdoors or where it is exposed to rain.
•  Screws are not included with the product; obtain screws for the lid and board separately.
•  Drill ventilation holes for heating parts (regulator, power resistor, transformer); the plastic body can soften under high temperature for a long time.
•  In circuits carrying mains voltage (220V), secure the cable entry and leave no exposed conductors; the box alone is not a safety measure.
