RX480-E 4 Channel 433Mhz RF Remote Control Receiver
Learning Wireless EV1527 Remote Control Door Switch Security Alarm Car
The RX480-E is a 433MHz RF receiver module with 4 channel outputs and a learning code decoder. This product contains the receiver module only; no transmitter or remote control is included. It stores the code of EV1527 coded 433MHz remote controls and transmitter modules with the on-board learning button and activates the D0, D1, D2, D3 outputs that correspond to the A, B, C, D buttons of the remote. When a valid signal is received, the VT output also becomes active.
The board is powered from DC 3.3V - 5V and draws 5mA or less. With its superheterodyne receiver design (6.7458MHz crystal) and -108dBm sensitivity it also decodes weak signals. The 7 pin 90 degree header (GND, +V, D0, D1, D2, D3, VT) of the 28mm x 12.3mm board plugs directly into a breadboard or circuit board; the antenna is connected to the ANT point. The outputs are signal level; a wireless control setup is built by connecting them to a relay driver or a microcontroller input.
During learning, one of three working modes is selected by the number of button presses: momentary (while the button is held), self-locking (on / off with each press) and interlocked (when one channel turns on the others turn off). Garage door, shutter, socket and lighting applications can thus be built without writing code.
Key features:
Learning code decoder: Learns EV1527 coded remotes with the on-board button; according to the manufacturer document up to 24 remotes can be stored. No separate decoder IC or software is needed.
4 independent channel outputs: The D0-D3 outputs correspond to the A-D buttons of the remote; the VT output indicates that a valid signal was received.
Three working modes: Momentary, self-locking and interlocked mode are selected by the number of button presses during learning.
Sensitive superheterodyne receiver: With -108dBm sensitivity and crystal based design, frequency drift is low; the low supply current (5mA or less) suits battery powered setups.
Small board with ready header: 28mm x 12.3mm in size, about 1.5gr in weight; can be tried without soldering thanks to the 7 pin header.
Features:
- Product type: 4 channel 433MHz learning RF receiver module (receiver only)
- Model: RX480-E (board marking RX480R_4CH V4)

- Dimensions: 28mm x 12.3mm
- Weight: about 1.5gr
Usage information:
- Clearing the memory: press the learning button 8 times. The LED turns off and a few seconds later flashes (3 times in the manufacturer document, 7 times in some seller listings); this shows that the stored records are cleared. After clearing, none of the stored remotes work.
- Code learning and mode selection: press the learning button 1 time (momentary mode), 2 times (self-locking mode) or 3 times (interlocked mode). When the LED turns on, press a button of the remote. If the LED flashes 3 times, the record was stored successfully.
- Test: after learning, the related channel (D0-D3) becomes active while the remote button is pressed. To add another remote, repeat the learning step.
- Connection: connect GND to ground and +V to a 3.3V or 5V supply; feed the D0-D3 outputs to a relay driver board or a microcontroller input. Solder the antenna to the ANT point.
Application areas:
- Garage door and garden gate remote control
- Roller shutter, blind and motorized curtain control
- Remote controlled socket and relay control
- Light and LED lighting control
- Alarm and home security systems
- Motorcycle and vehicle anti-theft setups
- Remote controlled toy cars and model vehicles
- Home automation and smart home setups
- Wireless button input for microcontrollers
Precautions:
- This product contains the receiver module only. No remote control or transmitter module is included; a 433MHz EV1527 coded remote or transmitter is needed separately.
- The receiver only learns EV1527 coded remotes; it may not work with other fixed code formats or rolling code remotes. 315MHz remotes do not work with this receiver.
- The supply range is DC 3.3V - 5V; do not power the module from 12V.
- The D0-D3 outputs are signal level and cannot drive a relay or motor directly; use a transistor or relay driver board for loads.
- When the receiver is powered from 5V the outputs are at 5V level. For 3.3V input boards, power the module from 3.3V or put a voltage divider on the output.
- Range depends on the antenna, supply and environment (walls, metal); keep the antenna vertical and away from metal surfaces.
