Adhesive 25mm Round RFID Tag 13.56Mhz UID Changeable Block 0 Writable Mifare 1K Compatible
NFC Sticker Copyable Clone Backup Door Access Residential Complex Apartment Parking Turnstile Attendance Elevator Locker Lock ISO14443A RC522 PN532
This product is a 13.56Mhz RFID tag, 25mm in diameter, round, with an adhesive back, whose UID (card number) block is writable. In normal 13.56Mhz tags and cards the UID is written to block 0 during production and cannot be changed; because block 0 of this tag is writable, its UID number can be changed to the desired number. This way you can prepare a backup with the same number as your own access card as a small tag that can be stuck on a phone case, a keychain or another item instead of carrying it in the wallet. The change can be made with devices that can read and write RFID, or with controller boards connected to an RC522 / PN532 reader module.
The tag carries a Mifare Classic 1K compatible chip that works with the ISO14443A standard. Its rewritable and erasable memory is 1024 bytes in size and is organized as 16 sectors x 4 blocks x 16 bytes; 768 bytes of it (including the UID block, excluding the key blocks of the sectors) are data blocks and can be changed. The reading distance is 0 - 10cm depending on the reader. The tag has no battery, it takes its energy from the field of the reader. The silver antenna coil and the chip are visible under the transparent plastic surface.
Its difference from our UID changeable card of the same properties in card size (85mm x 54mm) is that it is small, thin and adhesive: it is stuck on a flat surface, it is not carried in the wallet. It can be rewritten 100000 times, the read / write time is 100ms and the data retention time is 10 years.
RFID product selection information: there are 2 types of RFID products, 13.56Mhz and 125Khz. If there are numbers on your cards or keychains, your system is 125Khz. If there is no writing, it is 13.56Mhz. Please choose the product accordingly.
Key features:
Changeable UID number: Block 0, which holds the 4 byte UID number of the tag, is writable. In access systems that only check the UID, a backup is prepared by writing the number of your own card to this tag.
Adhesive 25mm round body: The back is adhesive; it is carried stuck on a phone case, a keychain, a remote control or a non-metal surface.
Rewritable 1K memory: Data can be written to and erased from 768 bytes of the 1024 byte memory; the tag can be rewritten 100000 times and data is kept for 10 years.
Mifare 1K compatible: It is read by 13.56Mhz readers of the ISO14443A standard (RC522, PN532 modules and ready made access readers).
Batteryless, waterproof: The tag has no battery, it works by taking energy from the field of the reader when brought within 0 - 10cm of it; its plastic surface is waterproof.

Usage information:
- First read the UID number of your own card to be copied with a reader; then place the tag on the reader and write the same UID to block 0. When writing block 0, the check byte (BCC) after the UID must be calculated correctly; tools with a ready made UID change function do this themselves.
- Write the UID BEFORE sticking the tag and test it on the reader; removing it after sticking can damage the tag and its antenna.
- Authenticate with the sector key before writing user data; the last block of each sector carries the key and access bits, do not write a wrong value to this block.
- The surface to stick on should be clean, dry and flat. Hold the tag flat and close to the center of the reader; the reading distance of a 25mm tag can reach 10cm with large readers, with small modules such as the RC522 it is a few cm.
Applications:
- Backup of your own access card stuck on a phone or keychain (only in systems that read the UID)
- Residential complex and apartment door access systems
- Parking barriers and turnstile passages
- Personnel tracking and time attendance systems
- Elevator floor access systems
- Smart lock and locker lock applications
- Product, box and asset labeling
- Access control system installation and test work
- RFID experiments with RC522 / PN532 readers
Precautions:
- Check the type of your card: if a number is written on your card, your system is 125Khz and this tag will not work. This tag is used only in 13.56Mhz systems.
- Some access systems detect and reject UID changeable cards and tags, and some check the encrypted data in the sector besides the UID. Whether the tag will work in your system cannot be known in advance.
- If a wrong UID, a wrong check byte (BCC) or wrong card information is written to block 0, the tag may no longer be recognized by the reader. Write block 0 only with tools that have a UID change function.
- A tag stuck directly on a metal surface is not read or is read only at a very short distance; leave a gap between the metal and the tag.
- Not every NFC phone can read Mifare Classic 1K compatible tags; reading and writing with a phone depends on the NFC chip of the phone.
- Only make backups of cards that belong to you or that you are allowed to copy. Copying someone else's access card without permission creates legal liability.
