UID Changeable 13.56Mhz RFID Magnetic Card
Rfid Proximity Indicator Card 13.56 Mhz Door Access Personnel Tracking Product Warehouse ISO14443A
This card is a 13.56Mhz RFID card whose UID (card number) block is writable. On normal 13.56Mhz cards the UID is written to block 0 during production and cannot be changed; on this card block 0 is writable, so the UID number of the card can be changed to the desired number. This way you can create a backup with the same number of your own entry card for a residential complex, apartment or workplace. The change can be done with devices capable of RFID read and write, or with control boards such as Arduino connected to an RC522 reader module.
The card carries a Mifare Classic 1K compatible chip working with the ISO14443A standard. Its rewritable and erasable memory is 1K byte (1024 byte) in size, organised as 16 sectors x 4 blocks x 16 bytes; 768 bytes of it (data blocks including the UID block, excluding the sector key blocks) can be changed. The reading distance is 0 - 10cm depending on the reader. The card has no battery; it takes its energy from the field of the reader.
The card is credit card sized (85mm x 54mm) and is easily carried in a wallet. Text or a logo can be printed on its white plastic surface. It can be rewritten 100000 times and its data retention time is 10 years.
RFID product selection information: there are 2 types of RFID products, 13.56Mhz and 125Khz. If there are numbers printed on your cards or key fobs, your system is 125Khz. If there is no text, it is 13.56Mhz. Please choose the product accordingly.
Key features:
Changeable UID number: Block 0, which holds the 4 byte UID number of the card, is writable. In access systems that check only the UID, a backup card is prepared by writing the number of your own card to this card.
Rewritable 1K memory: Data can be written to and erased from 768 bytes of the 1K byte (1024 byte) memory; the card can be rewritten 100000 times.
Mifare 1K compatible: It is read by 13.56Mhz readers with the ISO14443A standard (RC522, PN532 modules and ready made access readers).
Battery free, contactless use: The card has no battery; when brought within 0 - 10cm of the reader it works with energy taken from the reader field.
Fits in a wallet: The 85mm x 54mm credit card sized white plastic card is carried in a wallet, and text or a logo can be printed on it.

Usage information:
- First read the UID number of your own card to be copied with a reader; then place this card on the reader and write the same UID to block 0. When writing block 0, the check byte (BCC) following the UID must be calculated correctly; tools with a ready UID change function do this themselves.
- Authenticate the sector key before writing user data; the last block of each sector holds the keys and access bits, do not write wrong values to this block.
- Hold the card flat and close (0 - 10cm) to the middle of the reader; do not read it on a metal surface or stacked with another RFID card.
Areas of use:
- Backup card for your own entry card (only in systems that read the UID)
- Residential complex and apartment door access systems
- Parking barrier and turnstile passages
- Personnel tracking and time attendance systems
- Hotel room door and elevator cards
- Gym and club membership cards
- Access control system installation and test work
- RFID training and experiments with RC522 / PN532 readers
- Smart lock and locker lock applications
Precautions:
- Check the type of your card: if a number is printed on your card, your system is 125Khz and this card will not work. This card is used only in 13.56Mhz systems.
- Some access systems detect and reject cards with a changeable UID, and some also check encrypted data in the sectors besides the UID. Whether the card will work in your system cannot be known in advance.
- If a wrong UID, a wrong check byte (BCC) or wrong card information is written to block 0, the card may no longer be recognised by readers. Write block 0 only with tools that have a UID change function.
- Create backups only of cards that belong to you or that you are permitted to copy. Copying someone else's access card without permission brings legal liability.
- Do not fold or bend the card; the antenna inside may break.
