UID Identity Number Changeable 125KHZ RFID Rfid Magnetic Keyfob
Proximity Tag 125 Khz Door Access Personnel Tracking Warehouse EM4100
This product is a 125Khz RFID keyfob whose card number (UID) can be changed. In normal 125Khz EM4100 keyfobs the ID number is written during production and cannot be changed; thanks to the writable chip in this keyfob, the desired EM4100 number can be written to it. When there is no way to register the ID number of an rfid card or keyfob to the system, a copy with the same ID number is needed; with this keyfob you can create a spare with the same number as your own entry card or keyfob used at your site, apartment or workplace.
The changing process is done with devices that can read and write 125Khz RFID (125Khz RFID copiers). The keyfob has no battery and takes its energy from the field of the reader; depending on the reader it is read from 0 - 10cm. Its blue plastic body is waterproof; it measures 29mm x 36mm, weighs 5gr and, thanks to its key ring hole, can easily be carried together with your other keys.
RFID product selection information: There are 2 types of RFID products, 13.56Mhz and 125Khz. If there are numbers on your cards or keyfobs, your system is 125Khz. If there is no writing, it is 13.56Mhz. Please choose the product accordingly.
Key features:
Changeable card number: The ID number of the keyfob is not fixed; with a 125Khz RFID copier the EM4100 number of your own card is written to the keyfob, and it is used as a spare in access systems that only check the number.
EM4100 compatible: After the number is written, the keyfob is read like a normal EM4100 keyfob by 125Khz readers that read EM4100 / TK4100 cards.
Rewritable: The number can be erased and written again when needed; the same keyfob can be reused as a spare of a different card.
Battery-free, contactless: There is no battery in the keyfob; when held 0 - 10cm from the reader it works with energy from the field of the reader.
Waterproof keyfob body: The blue plastic body of 29mm x 36mm x 5.5mm is waterproof; it attaches to a key ring through its key ring hole.

Usage information:
- First hold your own card or keyfob to be copied to the 125Khz RFID copier and read its number; then hold this keyfob to the copier and write the same number.
- After writing, hold the keyfob to the copier again to check that the number was written correctly, then try it on your own door reader.
- Hold the keyfob flat and close (0 - 10cm) to the center of the reader; do not read it on a metal surface or stacked with another RFID card or keyfob.
Areas of use:
- Spare keyfob for your own entry card or keyfob (in systems that only read the number)
- Site and apartment door entry systems
- Parking barrier and turnstile access
- Personnel tracking and time attendance systems
- Elevator floor authorization systems
- Hotel room door cards
- Smart lock and locker lock applications
- Access control system installation and testing
- RFID experiments with 125Khz reader modules such as RDM6300
Precautions:
- Check your card type: if there is no number written on your card or keyfob, your system is most likely 13.56Mhz and this keyfob will not work. This product is only used in 125Khz systems.
- Writing a number to the keyfob needs a device with 125Khz write function. Read-only modules such as the RDM6300 and door readers cannot write the number.
- Copiers usually copy EM4100 / TK4100 cards. 125Khz cards with a different format such as HID or encrypted cards may not be copied this way; some access systems also reject keyfobs whose number can be changed. It cannot be known in advance whether the keyfob will work in your system.
- Some copiers set a password on the chip or lock it after writing; a locked keyfob cannot be written again. Check your copier settings before writing.
- Only make spares of cards that belong to you or that you are allowed to copy. Copying someone else's access card without permission creates legal liability.
