13.56Mhz RFID Keychain Blue Mifare 1K S50 Compatible Contactless ISO14443A Fixed UID
Door Access Control Personnel Tracking Attendance Turnstile Apartment Parking Elevator Hotel Gym Locker Lock RC522 PN532 Reader
The 13.56Mhz RFID Keychain is a passive (battery-free), rewritable RFID tag in keychain form that works with 13.56Mhz RFID readers. It contains a MIFARE Classic 1K (S50) compatible chip and an antenna coil; when brought into the reader's field it takes its energy from the reader and communicates with the ISO 14443A standard. Its blue plastic body measures 40mm x 32mm and is carried on a key ring.
The UID number is fixed and cannot be changed; access and personnel tracking systems recognise the keychain by this number. Its rewritable and erasable memory is 1K byte (1024 byte); data such as balance, membership or authorisation information can be written to the 752 byte user data area. The waterproof plastic body is suitable for carrying in a pocket or bag together with your keys.
RFID Product Selection Information: There are 2 types of RFID products, 13.56Mhz and 125Khz. If there are numbers on your cards or keychains, your system is 125Khz. If there is no writing, it is 13.56Mhz. Make your product selection accordingly.
Key features:
Keychain body: The blue plastic body, 40mm x 32mm and about 5gr, attaches to a key ring; it is carried with your keys instead of in a wallet like a card.
Fixed 4 byte UID: Each keychain has a factory-written, unchangeable 4 byte UID; access control and attendance systems recognise the keychain by this number.
1K byte writable memory: Data is written to the 752 byte user data area of the 16-sector 1024 byte EEPROM; each sector is protected by keys A and B and can be rewritten 100000 times.
Battery-free and waterproof: It needs no battery and takes its energy from the reader's field; its body is waterproof and the chip retains data for 10 years.
Works with common readers: It is read at 0-10cm (depending on the reader) by RC522, PN532 and other 13.56Mhz readers supporting ISO 14443A.
Features:
- Product type: Passive (battery-free) contactless RFID keychain
- Frequency: 13.56Mhz
- Standard: ISO 14443 / 14443A
- Chip: MIFARE Classic 1K (S50) compatible
- Memory: 1K byte (1024 byte) EEPROM; 16 sectors x 4 blocks x 16 byte
- Data area: 768 byte data blocks; block 0 (16 byte) manufacturer block, read-only; user data 752 byte
- UID: 4 byte, factory-written, fixed, cannot be changed
- Security: Each sector is protected by keys A and B
- Reading distance: 0-10cm (depends on the reader; shorter with small-antenna readers)
- Power: No battery needed; powered by the reader's field
- Compatible readers: RC522, PN532 and 13.56Mhz readers supporting ISO 14443A
- Rewrite cycles: 100000 times
- Data retention: 10 years
- Operating temperature: approximately -10°C to 50°C
- Material: Plastic (ABS) body, waterproof; key ring hole at the top
- Colour: Blue
- Dimensions: 40mm x 32mm, thickness approximately 3.5mm - 4mm
- Weight: approximately 5gr
Usage information:
- Hold the flat face of the keychain parallel to the reader's antenna surface and bring it within 0-10cm; the distance depends on the reader's antenna power.
- In access and personnel tracking systems the keychain is registered by its fixed UID; read the keychain once and save its number in the system.
- If you write data to the keychain, write to blocks other than the last block of each sector (the key and access bits block); data blocks are 16 byte each.
Application areas:
- Door access control systems
- Personnel tracking and attendance (time and attendance) control
- Turnstile passages
- Apartment and housing complex entrance doors
- Parking barrier access
- Elevator floor authorisation
- Hotel room doors
- Gym and club membership entry
- Locker locks and smart locks
- RFID test circuits with RC522 and PN532 readers
Points to consider:
- This keychain is 13.56Mhz; it does not work with 125Khz readers (EM4100 systems). If there are numbers printed on your cards or keychains, your system is most likely 125Khz.
- The UID number cannot be changed; this keychain is not suitable for making a copy (clone) of another card or keychain.
- If you write the keys and access bits in the last block of a sector incorrectly, that sector can be locked permanently.
- The NFC reader of some phones cannot read MIFARE Classic chips; test first if you plan to use it with a phone.
- Your access system accepts only keychains it has registered; a new keychain must be registered in the system by the system administrator.
