     This product is a white contactless RFID card that works at 13.56MHz, follows the ISO 14443A standard and is MIFARE Classic 1K (S50) compatible. It is credit card sized (85mm x 54mm), weighs 5gr and is easy to carry in a wallet. There is no battery in the card; the chip and the antenna coil take their energy from the reader field, and depending on the reader it is read from 0-10cm.

     The card has 1K byte (1024 byte) EEPROM memory: 16 sectors, 4 blocks in each sector, 16 byte in each block. Apart from the sector trailers (key blocks) there are 768 byte of data blocks; 16 byte of these are block 0, the read-only manufacturer block, leaving 752 byte for user data. Each sector is protected by its own keys. The UID number of the card is written at the factory, it is fixed and cannot be changed. The memory can be rewritten 100000 times and keeps data for 10 years. Text, logo or photo can be printed on its white PVC surface.

     RFID product selection information: There are 2 types of RFID products, 13.56Mhz and 125Khz. If there are numbers on your cards or keychains your system is 125Khz. If there is no writing it is 13.56Mhz. Make your product selection accordingly.

     MIFARE Classic 1K compatible: It works with 13.56MHz readers of the ISO 14443A standard (RC522, PN532 modules, door and turnstile readers).

     Writable 1K memory: User data (balance, member number, authorization) is stored in the 16 sector 1K byte memory; each sector is protected by a separate key.

     Fixed and unique UID: Each card has an unchangeable identity number written at the factory; access systems recognize the card by this number.

     Battery free, contactless reading: The card needs no battery; it is read when brought within 0-10cm of the reader, and it does not wear since there is no contact.

     Printable white surface: Company logo, name and photo can be printed on its 85mm x 54mm white surface to make a staff or member card.

Usage information:

• Hold the card flat and bring it within 0-10cm of the antenna surface of the reader; the read distance depends on the antenna power of the reader.
• In access and personnel tracking systems the card is registered by its fixed UID number; read the card once and save its number.
• If you write data to the card, write to the blocks other than the last block of each sector (key and access bits block); data blocks are 16 byte pieces.

Precautions:

•  This card is 13.56MHz; it does not work with 125Khz readers (EM4100 systems). If there is a number written on your cards or keychains your system is most likely 125Khz.
•  If you write the key and access bits in the last block of a sector incorrectly, that sector can be locked permanently.
•  The UID number cannot be changed; this card is not suitable for making a copy (clone) of another card.
•  The NFC reader of some phones cannot read MIFARE Classic cards; test first if you will use it with a phone.
•  Do not fold or pierce the card; the antenna coil inside can break.
