     The AK-N-22 mini plastic sensor box is a ventilated box made of black ABS plastic, designed for small circuits such as various sensor applications. Thanks to the slot and round ventilation holes on its top cover, ambient air reaches the inside of the box; so temperature, humidity and air quality sensors can measure the environment while inside the box.

     The box consists of two parts, a bottom base and a ventilated top cover. There is a cable outlet at one end and a hole at the other end of the base for hanging the box on a wall or surface. With its 59x26x12mm outer size and 8gr weight it is very small; it carries pcb boards up to 20x37mm.

     It provides a finished, neat looking enclosure for greenhouse, incubator, warehouse and room monitoring, home automation and wired sensor boards. Only the sensor board goes inside the box; its connection cable is led out through the cable outlet at the end. It protects the sensor board against touch, dust and impact.

Usage information:

• Check that your board fits the 20x37mm pcb size; place the board on the base, pass its cable through the cable outlet at the end of the box and close the top cover.
• Place the sensing element of the temperature and humidity sensor close to the ventilation holes; so the sensor detects ambient changes faster.
• Use the hole at the end of the base to hang the box on a wall; place it at the measuring point with the ventilation holes left open.

Precautions:

•  The box is ventilated and not waterproof. Do not use it directly in places with rain, water splashes or condensation.
•  The pcb size is 20x37mm. Larger boards and modules with tall components do not fit; measure your board before buying.
•  If heating components (regulator, microcontroller) are in the same box next to the temperature sensor, the reading rises. Keep the heating part away from the sensor.
•  Do not hang the box in direct sunlight; sunlight heats the box and spoils the temperature reading.
