     SS49E is a linear Hall Effect sensor that produces an analog voltage output by detecting magnetic field variation. It can detect magnetic fields originating from a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. Thanks to its ability to respond to positive and negative magnetic field directions, it can be used in position detection, current detection, motor load monitoring, magnetic tamper detection projects.

     The analog output of the sensor varies depending on the applied supply voltage and the detected magnetic field intensity. When there is no magnetic field, the output level is generally around approximately half of the supply voltage. Thanks to its low power consumption, small size and analog output structure, it can be used with the analog inputs of microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, PIC and similar. The output voltage can increase or decrease depending on the direction of the magnetic field. This feature makes the sensor useful not only for magnet present/absent detection, but also for distance, position and movement variation detection applications.
