     The DC Voltmeter 4-100V Round is a digital DC voltmeter with a 3 digit red LED display that fits a round 30mm panel hole. It has only 2 wires: the red wire is connected to the positive of the voltage to be measured and the black wire to the negative. No separate supply is needed; the meter runs on the voltage it measures and shows voltages between 4V and 100V DC with ±1% error. The display refreshes about every 300ms.

     The front bezel of the black plastic body is 33.8mm in diameter; the body is inserted from the front into a 30mm hole drilled in the panel. There is a "V" sign under the display. Thanks to reverse connection protection, the meter is not damaged when the wires are reversed, it simply stays off. Operating current is less than 15mA and service life is more than 30000 hours.

     It suits switchboards, control boxes, caravans, boats and electric vehicle dashboards for monitoring battery level in 12V, 24V, 48V and 72V battery systems. The round body gives a neat look on the panel door; it needs a 30mm hole, so it does not fit the common 22mm pilot lamp hole.

Usage information:

• Drill a 30mm hole in the panel, insert the meter into the hole from the front and route the wires out the back.
• Connect the red wire to the positive (+) of the voltage to be measured and the black wire to the negative (-). There is no separate supply connection; the meter runs on the voltage it measures.
• If it will stay connected to a battery permanently, connect the meter behind a switch or the ignition line, so that it does not draw current from the battery during long standby.

Precautions:

•  The measured voltage must not exceed 100V. If a higher voltage is applied the product is destroyed; leave a margin for voltage spikes.
•  Since the meter is powered by the voltage it measures, it turns off below about 4V; voltages between 0V and 4V cannot be read.
•  This product measures DC voltage only; it does not measure AC mains voltage. It does not measure current or power; a wattmeter is needed for current and power.
•  While connected the meter draws up to 15mA; connect it behind a switch on batteries that stand idle for a long time.
•  No waterproof rating is specified for the body; outdoors and on boats mount it on a panel protected from water splashes.
