OBDII Bluetooth Car Fault Diagnostic Device
ECU Setting Test Repair Tool Android Windows Wireless Can Communication Circuit
The OBDII Bluetooth Fault Diagnostic Device is a mini car diagnostic adapter that plugs directly into the 16-pin OBD2 socket on the driver's side of the car; it measures about 47mm x 24mm x 30mm and weighs about 32gr. It is powered from the 12V car battery through the OBD2 socket and draws about 50mA. It pairs over Bluetooth with an Android phone or tablet or a Windows computer with Bluetooth (code 0000 or 1234) and works with OBD2 apps such as Torque through its ELM327 compatible command set.
Through the app, the fault codes that turn on the check engine light are read and their meanings are shown, and after the repair the codes are cleared to turn the light off. Engine speed, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, intake air temperature, intake manifold pressure, throttle position, calculated engine load, short and long term fuel trim, ignition timing advance and oxygen sensor voltages are monitored live; by following instant fuel consumption and coolant temperature, an overheating problem is noticed early.
It supports the ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4 KWP and ISO 15765-4 CAN protocols. American cars after 1996, European petrol cars after 2001 (diesels after 2004) and Japanese cars after 2005 support the OBD2 standard. You can check whether your car is compatible by looking for OBD II, EOBD or JOBD on the label in the engine bay; your car must be OBD2 compatible, not just OBD. No software is shipped with the product.
Key features:
Read and clear fault codes: The fault codes (DTC) that turn on the warning light are read and shown with their meanings in the app; after the repair the codes are cleared and the check engine light is turned off.
Live engine data: Engine speed, vehicle speed, coolant temperature, intake air temperature and pressure, throttle position, fuel trim and oxygen sensor voltages are monitored live while driving.
Wireless Bluetooth connection: The phone connects from 5-10 meters inside the car; the pairing code is 0000 or 1234. No cable is needed.
Small body, powered from the socket: The about 47mm x 24mm x 30mm body plugs into the OBD2 socket; no separate battery or adapter is needed, and it draws about 50mA from the 12V battery.
Common OBD2 protocols: With the ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4 KWP and ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 and 29 bit, 250 and 500Kbaud) protocols it connects to most passenger cars.

Usage information:
- Find the OBD2 socket of the car (in most cars under the steering wheel, at the level of the driver's knee) and push the device fully into the socket; the power light of the device turns on when it is plugged in (in most cars the OBD2 socket has battery power even with the ignition off). Then turn the ignition on.
- Search for the device in the Bluetooth settings of the phone or computer and pair it; if a code is asked, enter 0000 or 1234.
- Open the OBD2 app (such as Torque on Android), select Bluetooth as the adapter type in the connection settings and choose the paired device. Once connected, read the fault codes or open the live data screen. On Windows, the COM port created after pairing is selected in a program that supports ELM327.
Application areas:
- Fault code reading: finding the fault in a car whose check engine light is on
- Fault code clearing: turning off the warning light after repair
- Fuel consumption monitoring (instant consumption)
- Overheating monitoring: preventing overheating and head gasket failure by watching coolant temperature
- Pre-check and diagnosis when buying a used car
- Quick diagnosis in car service and auto electrics workshops
- Gear shift indicator using engine speed and vehicle speed data
- Logging and monitoring driving data (engine speed, vehicle speed, temperature)
- Developing and testing OBD2 and CAN bus communication with ELM327 AT commands
Points to consider:
- This device does not change the engine control unit (ECU) software and does not do chip tuning or software flashing; it is for reading and clearing fault codes and monitoring live data.
- It is for 12V passenger cars. 24V trucks, buses and heavy vehicles are not supported.
- It uses classic Bluetooth; it does not work with iPhone and iPad (iOS).
- With the ignition off, the device may keep drawing current from the socket. If the car will be parked for a long time, unplug the device.
- The product image shows J1850 PWM; however, the J1850 connection (older American cars) has not been tested. The connection is not guaranteed on cars using this protocol.
- Do not operate the phone while driving; read and clear codes while the car is stopped. Clearing a fault code does not fix the fault; if the fault remains, the light turns on again.
