     The nRF52840 development board is a wireless communication board with an Arm core microcontroller. This processor has a radio unit that provides hardware support for wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth 5.0, Zigbee, Thread, ANT and 2.4 GHz. In other words, the board combines both the processor and the wireless communication module in a single structure. This allows wireless data transfer without the need for an additional module. Thanks to its compact structure, it is an ideal solution for ProMicro based mechanical keyboards, IoT projects and portable devices that require low power consumption. Both programming and battery charging can be done via the usb type c connection on it.

     The nRF52840 is a high performance and low power consumption wireless SoC chip that supports many wireless protocols such as Bluetooth 5, Thread, Zigbee, ANT and 2.4 GHz. It supports low power Bluetooth, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Zigbee, 802.15.4, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary communication protocols.

     The ARM Cortex-M4F core runs at 64 MHz. It has 1 MB of internal Flash memory and 256 KB of RAM. It supports many peripheral units such as ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, UART, USB and GPIO. It also has security features such as AES encryption, SHA-256 and True Random Number Generator (TRNG). It has many digital peripherals such as high speed SPI and QSPI interfaces for connecting external flash memory and display; PDM and I2S interfaces for digital microphone and audio connection.

     This board is designed to be compatible with arduino promicro. It has the same pinout as ProMicro. The board supports 3.7V lithium battery connection. It can charge the battery. When turned off, the standby current is approximately 1 mA.
