This module is built with the TTP224 capacitive touch IC. It contains 4 digital touch detector buttons and the touch pads can be extended with wire or conductive materials. It can be used as an alternative to mechanical type keypads. It stands out for being more durable in dusty environments.
When a capacitive load approaches the touch pad, the sensor detects the capacitance change and activates the switch. It can detect touch through thin layers of non-conductive materials such as glass, plastic, fabric or even wood. This way you can hide this sensor in the wall, on the desktop and in other places and get rid of the problems caused by the use of traditional buttons.
It can be used with Arduino or a microcontroller and allows you to easily add capacitive touch input to your project. It can also be used independently without a kit.
