     The 15cm Adapter Cable Male is a 15cm power cable with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm male DC jack plug on one end and tinned open red and black wires on the other end. The cable has a 22AWG copper conductor; it is rated for a maximum of 36V and 3A. The plug outer diameter is 5.5mm, the inner hole is 2.1mm and the plastic body diameter is 10.5mm. It weighs 5gr.

     The open ends are soldered or connected to a terminal block or screw terminal to power a device with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC socket input from your own circuit, an LED strip, a fan or a battery. It is also suitable for renewing the end of a cut or broken adapter cable. According to the diagram in the product image, the red wire is the center (+) and the black wire is the outer sleeve (-) line.

     The short 15cm length makes connections inside a device enclosure or in tight spaces without leaving excess cable. The flexible sleeve behind the plastic body reduces breaking of the cable at the plug exit.

Usage information:

• Verify the polarity with a multimeter before connecting: there must be continuity between the center hole of the plug and the red wire. Connect the red wire to the plus (+) and the black wire to the minus (-) of the supply.
• After soldering the open ends, insulate each joint separately with heat shrink tubing or insulating tape; bare wires must not touch each other.
• Push the plug fully into the 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC socket of the device; check on the device label whether it needs center positive (+) or center negative (-).

•  The product is for DC power only; do not use it above 36V or with mains voltage (220V AC).
•  3A is the maximum value; reduce the load if the cable or plug heats up. Use a thicker cable for higher current.
•  Reverse polarity may damage the device. Switch off the supply and verify polarity before connecting.
•  The plug is 5.5mm x 2.1mm; it does not fit a socket with a 2.5mm pin (5.5mm x 2.5mm) and does not fit smaller (3.5mm, 4.0mm) sockets.
