     It is a microphone sensor module with an automatic gain circuit used in sound detection applications. It is a very well designed circuit. It has a quality electret microphone. The Max9814 automatic gain integrated circuit is on the module.  It is used for detecting sounds between 20hz / 20Khz. Max9814 is designed especially for electret microphones.

     The automatic gain circuit is adjusted automatically according to the sound level. When there is no sound, no amplification is done. It amplifies up to 60db when sound amplification is needed. It can be set to levels such as 40-50-60db.
