    MKS Gen_L V2.1 is a high level, hybrid board produced by Makerbase, developed for MKS 3D printers and CNCs, created by the combination of Arduino MEGA 2560 with RAMPS 1.4. With the advanced features of MKS Gen_L V2.1, the requirements of RepRap and other CNC tools are gathered in a single electronic part. With its 5 driver slots it can run motor drivers such as A4988, DRV8825, TMC2100, LV8729. It is designed to work in the 12V-24V  range according to users' power supplies.

     Since it contains Arduino MEGA and RAMPS, with its Atmega2560 and CH340 processor it is compatible with all RAMPS class software. There is no need for an Arduino separately to use MKS Gen_L V2.1. It can be used without problems with Ramps 2.1 interfaces. It supports software such as Marlin, Repetier, Sprinter.

    It is designed to work in the 12V-24V range according to users' power supplies, offering flexibility to its user. High quality Mosfets are used. There is no need for a converter to connect an LCD screen. There are up to 6 Endstop sockets and it also offers a controlled working experience with short circuit protection.

    Compared with MKS Gen_L V1.0, V2.1 can easily enable the TMC stepper driver by jumpers.

WARNING:

• In case of mixing up the +/- end or other connection errors, power can damage the board, can cause fire.
• Do not plug in/unplug cables or modules while the power is on.
• Do not touch the board while you have static charge on your hand or while the power is on.
• The end terminal pins are Signal -  GND – Vcc instead of Vcc- Signal – GND as in other RepRap boards. Make sure you make the connections correctly.
• Against the danger of fault and fire, do not leave unattended while the power is connected to the board or while the machine is working.
