Duty Frequency Adjustment Pot DC 5V/15V 1Hz-200Hz

     This is an NE555 square wave generator module.It has the function of producing a square wave signal that can be used in various applications.  For example it is used in development boards, stepper motor driving applications etc.devices that operate with a square wave. It has 2 potentiometers for adjusting frequency and duty. The frequency can be adjusted between 1 Hz and 200 KHz. To increase it, the pots must be turned clockwise. The pots are multi-turn. They can be turned 30-40 turns.

     There are 4 jumper selection switches on the board. With these switches 4 different frequency ranges are selected. You can examine the frequency ranges linked to the switches in the picture below.

Low Frequency: 1Hz to 50Hz
Intermediate Frequency: 50Hz to 1kHz
Medium Frequency: 1KHz to 10kHz
High Frequency:10kHz to 200kHz

     When you change the duty setting the frequency will also shift. Do not forget this situation while using the board.  The exact opposite happens too. A change in frequency changes the duty.

Period T=0.7(RA+2RB)C

• Of the two trimpots on it, when the left one is turned clockwise the frequency increases, and in the opposite direction the frequency decreases. The trimpot on the right decreases the duty cycle when turned clockwise.
