     This product is a black printed circuit board (PCB) type internal antenna for the 2.4GHz band, sized 51mm x 15mm. At the end of the 19cm long 1.13mm thin coaxial cable soldered to the antenna board there is an IPEX1 (U.FL / MHF1 compatible) connector; it plugs directly into Wifi, Bluetooth and Zigbee boards with an IPEX1 socket. The seller gain value is 6dBi and the impedance is 50 ohm.

     There is adhesive tape on the back of the board; the antenna is stuck to the inner wall of the device enclosure. Screw mounting is also possible with the holes at both ends. In enclosures where a rod antenna cannot be fitted or an external antenna is not wanted (IP camera, home automation device, remote receiver) it provides the wireless link from inside the enclosure. The thin and flexible cable is easily routed in narrow enclosures.

Usage information:

• Align the connector exactly over the IPEX1 socket on the board and press it straight down with a finger; it clicks when seated. When removing, do not pull the cable, lift the connector straight up.
• Clean the surface before sticking, remove the protective paper on the back and press the antenna onto the plastic inner wall of the enclosure. Place the antenna away from metal parts, batteries and cable bundles.

Precautions:

•  The connector is IPEX1 (U.FL / MHF1) type; it does not fit the smaller IPEX4 (MHF4) sockets. Check the socket type on your board.
•  IPEX connectors are not made for frequent plugging; do not remove them unnecessarily.
•  Do not stick the antenna inside a metal enclosure or onto a metal surface; the signal is greatly weakened.
•  Do not bend the cable at a sharp angle or strain it at the solder point; the thin coaxial cable can break.
•  6dBi is the seller value; manufacturer datasheets of PCB antennas of this size give about 2-3.5dBi at 2.4GHz. The real range depends on antenna placement, enclosure material and the other device.
