     The EZP2023+ (EasyPro) is a USB programmer that reads, erases, writes and copies 24, 25, 93 and 95 series EEPROMs and 25 / 26 series SPI Flash chips. It is used to back up and rewrite the memory chips in devices such as motherboard and laptop BIOS chips, televisions, monitors, DVD players, hard disks, modems and satellite receivers. It connects to the computer over USB 2.0 (12Mbps) and is powered from USB; no separate adapter is needed.

     DIP8 chips plug directly into the 16 pin ZIF socket on top of the case; SOP8 and SOP16 (SMD) chips connect to the socket with the 2 SOP8/SOP16 - DIP8 adapter boards included in the package. The programmer automatically identifies 25 series SPI Flash chips and sets the chip supply voltage itself. The POWER and RUN LEDs on the case show the power and operation status. It can perform standalone (offline) copying without a computer connection; chips not in the software list can be added to the software manually by entering their data correctly.      Automatic identification and voltage setting: 25 series SPI Flash chips are identified automatically, and the chip supply voltage is set by the programmer.

     16 pin ZIF socket and adapter boards: The lever ZIF socket holds the chip without soldering and without forcing the pins; 2 adapter boards for SOP8 / SOP16 chips and 4 pieces of 4 pin male headers are in the package.

     Standalone copying: Chip copying without a computer connection (offline copy) is supported, with the programmer powered from USB.

     Powered from USB: The USB 2.0 connection provides both data and power (USB 5V); no separate power supply is needed.

Usage information:

• Software and driver files: after purchasing the product, when you contact us by e-mail, the required files are sent to you as a link. After the driver is installed, the programmer appears in Device Manager as winusbcom or EZP2023.
• When inserting a DIP8 chip, lift the lever of the ZIF socket, place the chip according to the position shown in the drawing on top of the case and the pin 1 direction, then lower the lever.
• Solder or place SOP8 or SOP16 (SMD) chips on the adapter board; plug the board into the ZIF socket with the 4 pin headers.
• Before starting, read the content of the chip and save it to the computer; erase and write only after taking a backup.
• 25 series SPI Flash chips are mostly identified automatically; for 24, 93 and 95 series EEPROMs you may need to select the chip manually from the list in the software.

Points to consider:

•  Do not insert the chip backwards; check the pin 1 direction from the dot or notch on the chip. A chip inserted backwards and the programmer may be damaged.
•  Do not insert chips that work at 1.8V (those marked "1.8V" in the list) directly into the socket; use a 1.8V adapter. The 1.8V adapter is not included in the package.
•  Before writing and erasing, always read and back up the original content of the chip; a device written with the wrong file may not work.
•  Reading a chip while it is on the board (with a clip) may not always succeed because of the other circuits on the board; if it fails, desolder the chip and program it. The SOP8 test clip is not included in the package.
•  Do not unplug the USB cable or remove the chip from the socket during an operation (while the RUN LED is on).
