MT60 Connector Pair 3 Pin Female Male 30A Continuous 60A Instant 3.5mm Gold Plated with Sleeves Brushless Motor ESC Socket
Three Phase Wire Connection Drone Quadcopter RC Car Airplane Boat Electric Bike Scooter Skateboard Reverse Insertion Proof
MT60 is a 3 pin power connector with a black nylon housing, used to connect the three phase wires of a brushless motor to an ESC in one move. The package contains one male part, one female part and two protective sleeves. Its 3.5mm gold plated brass bullet contacts carry 30A continuous current and up to 60A instantly. The voltage rating is up to 500V DC and the contact resistance is about 0.45mΩ.
Because a single housing is used instead of three separate bullet connectors, the motor wires do not get mixed up and the phase order is kept when the motor is removed and refitted. The triangular shape of the housing lets the parts mate in one direction only. The rear end of each contact is a half open solder cup that accepts wire up to 12AWG; after soldering, the sleeve is slid over the back of the housing to cover the solder joints.
The housing is made of heat resistant UL94 V0 nylon (polyamide); it works between -20°C - 120°C and is rated for about 1000 mating cycles. It is used for motor, ESC and 3 line power connections in drones, RC cars, airplanes, boats, electric bikes and scooters.
Key features:
Three pins in one housing: The three phase wires of a brushless motor are connected with a single connector; compared with three separate bullet connectors the connection is tidier and the phase order is not mixed up.
30A continuous current: The 3.5mm gold plated contacts carry 30A continuous and 60A instant current; contact resistance is about 0.45mΩ.
Reverse insertion proof: The triangular housing lets the male and female parts mate only in the correct direction.
Protective sleeves: The package has one sleeve for each part; after soldering it is slid over the back of the housing, covers the solder joints and tidies the wire exit.
Flame retardant housing: The UL94 V0 nylon housing works between -20°C - 120°C.

Usage information:
- Slide the protective sleeve onto the wire before soldering. Tin the solder cups first, lay the wires into the cups and solder them one by one, then push the sleeve over the back of the housing.
- Decide at the start which part goes on the motor side and which on the ESC side; if the build has more than one motor, use the same direction on all of them so the parts are interchangeable.
- If the motor turns the wrong way, correct the direction in the ESC settings or by swapping two phase wires on one side only, without removing the connector.
Areas of use:
- Three phase connection between a brushless motor and an ESC
- Drone, quadcopter and multicopter motor arms
- RC car and truck motor connection
- RC airplane and glider power systems
- RC boat motor connection
- Electric bike motor and controller box connection
- Electric scooter and skateboard power connections
- 3 line power and signal connections (e.g. battery positive, negative and sense line)
- Tidy wiring for removable motor and battery modules
Precautions:
- The continuous current is 30A; 60A is only an instant value. If the motor draws more than 30A continuously, use a larger connector. The current is also limited by the wire size and the solder quality.
- Do not heat the contact for a long time while soldering; the nylon housing softens and the contact may sit crooked. Keeping the mating part plugged in while soldering prevents the contact from shifting.
- After soldering, check that no solder bridge is left between neighbouring contacts; a short circuit between phase wires damages the ESC.
- MT60 does not mate with MT30 or XT series connectors; both ends to be connected must be MT60.
