     It is a tiny power supply module that boosts the 5V voltage coming over the type c usb port to the 12V level. It outputs this 5V over the adjustable Usb port. It is used for devices such as cameras and modems that run on 12V. The output current is at a maximum level of 750mA. In order to reach this level, the input power must be at 10W levels. With lower sources such as 5V 1A, the output current level will drop.

     You can obtain a different output voltage by changing the R1 resistor on the board ( Picture 5 ). With this operation the output voltage range can be changed between 6V and 24V.

     The general principle in all voltage boosters is the requirement that the input power be higher than the output power. We are not talking about voltage, we are talking about power. If a high power demand occurs at the output that the input cannot supply, you cannot boost the voltage. To give an example, you cannot run a television with a pen battery. Measure the output voltage without connecting a load. After seeing that it is 12V, if 12V drops when you connect it to the load,  your source power is insufficient.
