     The DKJ10-25 200A Connector Pair is a Dinse type quick connect plug and panel socket set used on welding machines. It is made for 10mm2 - 25mm2 welding cable and carries up to 200A. The set contains one red and one black cable plug and one panel socket of each colour; the colour code keeps the positive and negative lines from being mixed up.

     The cable plug has a brass contact that clamps the cable with a hex (Allen) screw and a rubber sleeve around it. The panel socket is fixed to the front panel of the device with a bolt and nut; the cable lug inside the device is connected to the rear bolt. The plug is pushed into the socket and turned clockwise to lock; the connection does not come loose even if the cable is pulled during welding, and the cable can be removed from the machine and refitted in seconds.

     It is suitable for replacing the electrode holder and ground cables of a welding machine, renewing a worn socket, or adding a detachable power connection to self-built high current devices such as a battery, inverter or generator. The set consists of 2 plugs and 2 sockets; cable and electrode holder are not included.

Key features:

     200A capacity: Carries up to 200A with 10mm2 - 25mm2 welding cable. The brass contacts sit tightly in the socket; when fully inserted and locked, contact resistance stays low.

     Twist lock: The plug locks when it is inserted and turned. It does not leave the socket even if the cable is pulled or moved during welding.

     Screw cable clamp: The cable is clamped to the brass contact of the plug with a hex screw; no soldering or crimping tool is needed. On the socket side a cable lug is connected to the bolt.

     Red / black colour code: Positive and negative lines are separated by colour, preventing reversed cables.

     Rubber insulation: The rubber sleeve of the plug insulates the hand-held part, protects it against impact and covers the cable entry.

Usage information:

• Strip the insulation from the cable end as long as the brass contact socket. Slide the rubber sleeve onto the cable first, then insert the cable into the brass contact and tighten the hex screw firmly. Slide the sleeve over the contact.
• Place the panel socket in the hole on the device panel and tighten the nut. Connect the cable inside the device to the rear bolt with a lug and tighten the nut.
• Push the plug fully into the socket and turn it clockwise to lock. To remove, turn it counter-clockwise and pull.

Precautions:

•  Switch off the welding machine before plugging or unplugging. A connection removed under current arcs and burns the contacts.
•  Always turn the plug to lock it after inserting. A loose or half-inserted connection heats up and damages the contact surface.
•  The cable cross section must be within 10mm2 - 25mm2. A thin cable heats up; a thick cable does not fit into the brass contact.
•  This set is Dinse 10-25 size. It does not fit larger (35-50, 50-70) sockets; check the socket size of your machine before buying.
•  Keep the hex screw and panel nut tight; a screw that loosens over time increases contact resistance.
