     PT100 is preferred at high temperature values, in cases where precise measurement values are desired. It has a 2 wire platinum thermal resistance structure. At 0 degree temperature its resistance is 100ohm. As the temperature increases the resistance value increases. It is not fully linear but the exact value can be determined from a table.

     It is very widely used in industrial applications. Measurement is made with the change of the resistance value depending on the temperature. Pt100 is generally called a temperature sensor. It can measure in environments such as air and liquid. It has a ceramic internal protector and steel external protector.
