 6V to 28V 3A DC Motor Driver Speed Control Circuit, with On Off and Direction Selection Switch

     It is a dc motor driver - motor speed control circuit operating in the 6V to 28V range up to a maximum of 3A. It has 2 different on off features. One of them is an internal switch that cuts the power and becomes active if you keep turning the speed control pot on the board after bringing it down to the lowest speed. In addition, the 0 position on the direction selection switch stops the motor movement. The right and left positions on the switch set the operating direction of the motor: A voltage about 1V lower than the supply voltage is applied to the motor.

Note:  There is reverse connection protection. However, the supply must not be connected to the motor inputs. And the device must not be powered in a long term short circuit condition. If it is used short circuited for a long time, the circuits on the device and your power supply feeding the device may be damaged.

Speed adjustment is done with the speed control pot. Speed adjustment is obtained by varying the voltage delivered to the motor between 0V and the max input voltage. At low voltages there will certainly be losses in torque. Those who want the torque to stay at maximum while the speed drops should not look at this type of Chinese made product.
