     USBtinyISP is an AVR microcontroller programming board. It is used to load programs onto AVR processors. It is the programmer officially supported by the Arduino IDE software. You can use it to load a bootloader. You can use it together with the Avrdude software.

     It has a 2x3 pin socket that can be plugged into an Arduino. It takes its supply over the micro usb port. It can power the Arduino you connect. When you select the appropriate hardware in the bootloader burning section under the Arduino IDE and select USBtinyISP as the programmer, the bootloader will automatically be loaded onto your Arduino. The S2 switch must be short circuited to supply power to the target circuit.
