Three Axis Gyroscope + Three Axis Accelerometer

     The module is Bosch's new BMI160 6 axis gyro sensor module. It has a 3 axis accelerometer and a 3 axis gyroscope. The module can provide acceleration data (acceleration values detected by the device in the X, Y and Z directions) and gyroscope data (rotation speed of the device around the X, Y and Z axes). It has ultra low power consumption. With its ultra low power consumption it is ideal for IoT projects.

     While the accelerometers and gyroscopes work in full speed mode, the typical power consumption is as low as 950uA and this is very low compared with similar products on the market.

     Designed for smart phones, tablets and wearable devices, the Bosch BMI160 has an embedded software algorithm that can directly calculate the step count. The built in 3 axis acceleration and 3 axis gyroscope make it easy to detect movements such as running and fitness.

     With the LDO on the module it can work in a wide supply voltage range of DC 3.2 to 6V. In addition it can communicate with Arduino with signals between 3.3V 5V.
