     The MQ-3 alcohol sensor detects the presence of alcohol gas at a range of concentrations between 0.04mg/L and 4mg/L suitable for making a breathalyzer. Like other MQ sensors, this sensor also gives an analog voltage output according to the density of the gas. It is a sensor capable of reading the gas range used by breathalyzers.

     The sensor comes with its carrier board. It operates with 5V voltage and has digital (TTL level) and analog outputs. Thus you can easily use it with Arduino and your other microcontrollers.
