     It is a prototyping board for Arduino Uno boards ( V5 ). It allows you to move your Arduino projects off the breadboard into a proper circuit and to use the circuits you have designed specially together with Arduino.
     
    You can also use the proto shield without soldering. With the mini breadboard placed in the middle section, you can do prototyping and testing quickly without dealing with soldering work. The proto shield carries all Arduino pins to an upper level, allowing you to use them easily. In addition, there is space on the proto shield for surface mount (SMD) components. This allows you to use this type of component as well. In the middle section there are 3-way pads where DIP integrated circuits can be soldered.
     
    Arduino Uno Proto Shield; has the Uno R3 pin layout, and there is also a reset button on the board. All headers and connectors are shipped soldered.
