     3144 is a sensor that detects magnetic field change. It gives output near a magnetic field magnet. It can detect positive and negative gauss. It gives output as digital voltage according to the measured field. Reed sensors work well, but being fragile is their disadvantage. The 3144 gives output digitally and its small structure has an integrated circuit package that will not be damaged. With a comparator inside it, its output changes when it detects a magnetic field. It has an open collector output. It must be used with a pull up resistor.
