       It is a sensor pair consisting of 1 infrared beam transmitter and 1 infrared beam receiver. It detects an object entering between the 2 sensors.  It is used to perform object detection in places such as windows, doors and various passage points.  It can also be used in applications such as product counting with product passage on production lines.  Normally, if there is no obstacle in between, there is 5V on the output pin. When an obstacle occurs, there is 0V.

• The 3 pin sensor is the receiver. The 2 pin one is the transmitter.
