It is a Max471 3A current measurement sensor module. It transmits the measurement result as an analog voltage using the resistor division principle. It measures the supply passing through the RS pins. Due to the voltage division the signals drop by a factor of 5. This increases the voltage range that can be measured. On 5V systems it can measure electrical signals up to 25V. On 3.3V systems the maximum input voltage can be 16.5V. Arduinos work with 5V and have 10 bit adcs. You get a resolution of 5V /1023= 0.00489V. You can find the real value of the signal reduced by a factor of 5 by multiplying by 5. Measurement is done with a resolution of 0.00489 x5 = 0.02445V. The current calculation is done with the voltage that forms across the 2000ohm resistor on the board.
