     Uno R3 is one of the boards of the open source Arduino platform, using the 8 bit Atmega328 mcu from Microchip. The board has 14 digital input/output pins (6 of them PWM capable) and 6 analog input units. These IOs are accessible from the board at the same time as male and female pin headers.

     In addition, circuits such as a usb uart converter circuit (for programming and communication), 16Mhz crystal, usb socket, power circuit, ICSP connector and reset button are also present on the board. All circuits required for the microcontroller to operate are ready on the board. It can easily be connected to a computer over a usb cable, and can be powered with an adapter or a battery. It offers the possibility to easily prepare software on the open source Arduino IDE.

     The purpose of Arduino is designed so that students who do not know electronics and programming and electronics enthusiasts can easily develop applications. Arduino boards can read various inputs (such as a light sensor, button, internet messages). and can generate various outputs to the outside (such as lighting a led, driving a motor, sending a message to the internet).
