     RCWL-0516 is an electromagnetic doppler transceiver module. It is a high performance microwave motion sensor module. It is used to detect moving objects using the microwave doppler effect. It has a micro strip patch type antenna. It works better when used indoors. Its performance decreases when used in open areas. It gives digital output as 0 or 3.3V.

     The doppler method is basically time dependent, it is based on the wave frequency change at different times with the movement of the object when a radio wave comes from an object. If the object is standing still, the frequency of the wave coming to the sensor is constant. If the object moves in the direction it first moved, the frequency increases, if it moves in the other direction, the frequency decreases. It has some advantages compared to other object detection methods:
