     Designed by DF Robot, this quite popular LCD shield is fully compatible with Arduino boards such as Arduino Uno and Mega. It has a 2x16 LCD and a 5 button keypad on it.
On the board, the power pins, the A1,A2,A3,A4 and A5 analog pins and the 13,12,11,3,2,1 and 0  digital pins can be brought out for external uses. The A0 pin is used for the purpose of taking analog readings from the buttons. The LCD contrast setting can be adjusted on the board. In addition, the backlight feature of the LCD can be disabled.
     You can use the buttons for direction operations such as right, left, up, down and also for a selection function. The reading of all the buttons is carried out over only 1 analog pin. The usage efficiency of the Arduino pins is increased.
