RA-01SC-P LoRa (long range radio) communication module. The LLCC68+ IC is used. Thanks to the built-in PA (power amplifier) on it, it reaches a much higher output power (+29dBm) than standard modules. This high power allows rf signals to pass through obstacles more easily. Stable communication is observed at up to 6-7km with standard antennas, and up to 10-15km in open areas with high gain antennas.
It is widely used in applications such as Iot sensor reading, various control and automation operations, and meter reading. It can also operate in the 410MHz-525MHz frequencies. An external antenna connection is made with the Ufl socket. In addition, it can be used with the antenna pin on the edge via the pcb or by soldering helical etc. antennas of suitable thickness.
The RA-01SC-P module has a built-in PA (power amplifier) and LNA (low noise amplifier). The PA raises the output power of the chip from the standard +22dBm level to +29dBm. The LNA comes into play on the receiver side and brings the sensitivity to the -137dBm level. These two components together significantly increase the link budget and, with the same antenna in ambient conditions, provide stable communication over longer distances compared to modules without a PA. The PA can be disabled by controlling the CPS pin from the MCU, so the module can also be used in applications requiring short range or low power.
